² A man lame from birth was being carried—every day they used to put him at the Temple gate called Beautiful, so he could beg for tzedakah from those entering the Temple. ³ When he saw Peter and John about to go into the Temple, he began asking to receive tzedakah.

⁴ But Peter, along with John, looked straight at him and said, “Look at us!”
